The Mellon Mays Fellows Professional Network

Mission

The Mellon Mays Fellows Professional Network (MMFPN) provides formal and informal networking and mentoring opportunities to Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship (MMUF) alumni in every profession and in every stage of their career path, adhering to the unofficial motto: “Once a Mellon, always a Mellon.”

With a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Woodrow Wilson Foundation is developing an alumni association of MMUF Fellows, with the ultimate goal of sustainability. Unlike the other programs which the Mellon Foundation has generously funded for MMUF Fellows, MMFPN does not exist to provide financial support for MMUF alumni. Instead it is an organization which provides alumni with the opportunity to support each other.

Currently through MMFPN, Mellon alumni can connect with the 3,400 MMUF alumni worldwide, keep abreast of MMFPN news, find and announce jobs and fellowships, post articles, participate in a mentor/mentee dyad, and discuss critical issues.  Do you have a suggestion for some other areas which should be included? Please send us an email. The active participation and frequent input of MMUF alumni will allow MMFPN to maintain and sustain each of its current program ventures and continue to grow to its fullest potential.

MMUF alumni are a talented, dynamic, engaged and productive group of individuals. Every alumni contribution—no matter how big or small—aids in developing MMFPN into a worldwide professional and community resource.
