About John Carroll University

John Carroll University, founded in 1886 as Saint Ignatius College, is located in University Heights, Ohio, in suburban Cleveland. The University was renamed in 1923 to honor America’s first Catholic Bishop, John Carroll of Maryland, and is one of 28 Jesuit colleges and universities in the United States. Teacher Preparation at JCU

The Woodrow Wilson Ohio Teaching Fellowship program at John Carroll will focus on physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology, building on the University’s existing teacher preparation programs in the Department of Education and Allied Studies.  This non-traditional, clinical program will take a modular, problem-based approach to courses.  More information

Schools/Districts Working with JCU

John Carroll University will partner with high schools in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) for the Woodrow Wilson Foundation Ohio Teaching Fellowship.   CMSD serves a diverse student body of approximately 50,000 students.
